Chemical Reactive Dyes
Reactive dyes are widely used substances for conjugating a fluorescent dye to a protein such as an antibody. Reactive dyes can be used to label primary amines, thiols or dienes of proteins or amine-, thiol- or diene-modified molecules. When abberior fluorophores are used, the resulting conjugate shows bright fluorescence and photostability.
